It appears Don Q ran into some trouble with law this past week. According to TMZ, the Bronx rapper was arrested last Thursday for felony possession of a .22 caliber Beretta and unlawful possession of a bag of weed. Cops say they found the weed in Q’s underwear during a strip search.
However while in jail, Don Q drew a nice crowd of supporters during his arraignment, including close friend & famous rapper A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, ultimately affecting his bail & release. As a result of this support, Don was released without bail, and isn’t due back to court until February.
His attorney, Stacey Richman, said there was no reason at all for the initial traffic stop, or for cops to search Q and his friends. Thankfully for now though, Don is a free man, and coincidentally just released a new song & video yesterday called “Killa Season.” It's possible however this arrest was one of the reasons for this song's delay. The record was supposed to drop last week, but was pushed back unannounced because of "some bullshit" Don Q said via Twitter.
We’ll continue to keep you posted on all the information as it becomes available, which will probably be around February when he returns to court. For now though, check out his latest release with Cam’ron called "Hello."
