Chance The Rapper's been using his platform to raise awareness on social injustices that have been happening in America and across the globe. He's been a vocal figure in Chicago's local politics and continues to use his platform as a way to speak out against prejudice. However, he does so in a way that continues to push a positive message and equality. It's evident that after the birth of his daughter, he became much more vocal about creating a more peaceful and positive world. After all, he did do a mixtape with Based God. The rapper was recently pulled over by the police and livestreamed the interaction.

On an Instagram live video, the rapper got pulled over while the mother of his daughter, Kristen Corley, and his daughter were in the vehicle. The three of them were returning from church when an officer decided to pull them over during a traffic stop. The whole interaction was caught live while his fans tuned in.

"Just want y’all to be here in case it gets out of hand," he says, "Should be good though. Should be straight… I have great faith in humanity and the men and women that put on the badge, but, you know, you can’t be too careful."

While he does say he has faith in the individuals that wear a badge, he does also go on to mention what is actually wrong with the policing system in America.

"But policing as a system is disproportionately racist and oppressive. So, you know, I'm with my baby, I ain’t got no burner in the car, no drugs in the car. Nothing going on, just came back from church." he tells the camera.

In a report from the Chicago Sun-Times, they police say that his daughter's mother, Corley, who was driving the vehicle, was pulled over for a moving violation. However, the police officer only issued a warning.

After all was done, both Corley and Chance thanked the officer and went on their way.
