Caleborate & Big K.R.I.T. are all about that soul.

Rapper Caleborate dropped off his Real Person album last autumn, and now he's looking to continue his momentum into the new year. Today, the East Bay emcee premiered his new single "Soul Remix" which rather appropriately features Big K.R.I.T; it's an appropriate choice for the track, as K.R.I.T.'s 4Eva Is A Mighty Long Time had no shortage of soul throughout. On the eve of a wide release, Caleborate spoke with Complex about the song, stating ""I wrote 'Soul' in the beginning of 2017, around when so much if my life was changing."

He proceeds to elaborate on the track's significance, saying ""The song is what I needed for myself but I realized that it’s also something that other people might need to help themselves... A lot of people can throw off your vibe if they aren’t on the same wave as you. They can take your soul, your juice, your flavor, the stuff that makes you, you. You’ve got to protect that."

Quotable Lyrics

This for all them single mothers, single fathers out there tryin' to make it
Takin' pay cuts never lay up, puttin' food up on the table
