Today, Brooklyn rapper Skyzoo has announced his new album In Celebration Of Us, which features production from Illmind, Apollo Brown, Daringer, Marc Nfinit, Cardiak, and more. Along with the announcement, Sky has come through with his new Apollo Brown produced single "Baker's Dozen," which features the same old-school style Skyzoo has perfected throughout his career.
In an interview with Complex, Skyzoo breaks it down with some insight behind his latest joint.“On “Baker’s Dozen”, I wanted to explore the world I know, same as I always have throughout my career, but from the perspective of what once was, currently is, and probably will foreseeably be, by diving into what happens when things like gentrification take place in that world,” explains the rapper. “The idea of desire and attainability, by all means; regardless of the changes around you.”
Stay tuned for Skyzoo's new album In Celebration Of Us, officially dropping on February 2nd, 2018.
Quotable Lyrics
One time for the love of the lead and the way it had us,
And the irony of dotting the beam on whatever matters,
Black lives in black 5s, the frame boxing out,
I’m Luke Caging but more related to Cottonmouth,
