Kanye West's 2013 album Yeezus has caused a division among his fanbase, with some claiming it's his magnum opus and others writing it off as a musical misstep. Either way, there's no denying that Kanye and Rick Rubin's musical masterpiece has held up as one of Kanye's most ambitious and experimental projects to date. And, if this new report is to be understood, there may very well have been more where that came from. As the legend goes, Rubin ultimately cut six tracks from the original draft of Yeezus, with the mentality that there might be a sequel on deck. Unfortunately for Yeezus fans, the sequel ultimately went the way of Eminem's Relapse 2, which is to say, dead.
And while Kanye ultimately went down a different path with the darker vibes of The Life Of Pablo, a recent post from CyHi The Prynce has breathed a new hope into what many deemed to be a lost cause. CyHi fanned the flames when he uploaded a playlist onto Spotify which featured six songs labelled to be from Yeezus 2, including "333," "MM," "WISI," "W," "OO," and "ASY." Clearly, these titles are acronyms, and some viewers have already speculated that "W" and "OO" may actually be "Wolves" and the Paul McCartney assisted "Only One." As of now, the playlist was removed, and even when it was online, it was unfortunately inaccessible to the public.
For what it's worth, the album will most definitely remain in CyHi's vaults, destined to stay there until Kanye is seized with a sudden fit of generosity. So basically...it's never coming out. But still, it must be acknolweged that the timing of this is rather peculiar. After all, recently teamed up for a track called "Dat Side," which is set to appear on CyHi's upcoming project. Fans of The Prynce should be pleased to know that the rapper's album is done, and it's only a matter of time before it drops.
