At this stage in his career, he has proven to be someone that a few big artists have a great deal of respect for.
One artist who has built a rapport with Akademiks is none other than Playboi Carti. Carti is an incredibly hard artist to pin down, so it's impressive that Ak has been able to get anything from him. Months ago, Akademiks claimed that Carti's album would be dropping soon. Subsequently, Carti went on to drop six singles without putting any of them on streaming services. This led to some distrust as fans have no clue what is really going on.

Subsequently, fans reacted to this tweet with quite a bit of skepticism. After all, Carti never seems to actually give real updates on his projects. Perhaps a new song is coming tonight, although we won't know until later in the day. Hopefully, Carti ends up surprising us and throws fans a bit of a bone.
