Smokepurpp has made no secret of his love of drugs, and the young Deadstar rapper continues the trend on his new "Geek A Lot" visuals. The Yasha Gruben directed clip is appropriately trippy, alternating between a youthful Purpp and a present-day Purpp; while it starts off innocuously enough, eventually, the vibe takes a macabre turn. Around the halfway point, we enter bad-trip mode. The blood begins to flow, and the once beautiful models become something from a horror film. Pills are thrown around with reckless abandon, which seems to put Purpp's previous vow to quit Xanax under the microscope.
Either way, Purpp's latest visuals reveal a strong sense of vision from the rapper, and it's clear that he's still discovering himself as an artist. The strange, off-kilter, claustrophobic vibe of "Geek Alot" seems to capture Purpp's essence, and it wouldn't be surprising to see him experimenting further in the future.
