Breakout success for Blocboy JB is practically inevitable at this point. With the arrival of his Drake-assisted "Look Alive" track, it's likely that we're going to hear a lot from the Memphis native this year and we'll more than likely get a slew of other emcees hopping on the Tay Keith-produced beat for their own takes. Getting in on the wave early is another southern upstart just a few hundred miles southeast of JB in the form of the Atlanta-bred Deante' Hitchcock.
Fresh off a supporting stint alongside Rapsody on her North American tour and riding the moderate success enjoyed from his So Much For Good Luck EP, the Bystorm/RCA signee is equally on his way to an eventful 2018. He previously gave us a sample of what's to come via his most recent "I See It" single and now as he jumps on Blocboy JB's "Look Alive" for a remix of his own, he continues to serve up lyrical warning shots as he attacks the cut with an incontestable hunger.
Quotable Lyrics:
Old money stacked, I'm increasing my revenue
Been a prophet. The deacon, the reverend knew
Too smart to fall for the lie that they telling you
I cannot buy all that bullshit they selling you
You bet the bank on the kid and you'll never lose
Chase, BOA, or Navy Federal
