Rasual Butler's NBA peers recall their fondest memories.

Rasual Butler's sudden passing has had a tremendous impact on the NBA community. In the hours since the tragic news was announced, countless players, coaches, friends and others who knew him have expressed nothing but kind words and fond memories of the NBA journeyman.

Butler and his wife Leah LaBelle, an R&B singer, were killed in a one car accident in Los Angeles, after Butler lost control of his Range Rover and crashed into a shopping center. Police believe Butler was speeding prior to the fatal crash.

Butler, 38, was drafted by the Miami Heat in the second round of the 2002 NBA Draft. He played for several teams during his career including the Hornets when they were still in New Orleans/Oklahoma, Clippers, Raptors, Pacers, Wizards and Spurs. Butler retired after the 2015-16 season and later played for the Big 3 League as a member of team Power.

After learning of the tragic news, many of Butler's former teammates and others around the league took to social media to share stories and recall their fondest memories.
