Whenever a big song leaks and subsequently gets taken down from streaming services, it seems to dominate searches over the next week, with everyone trying to find a version that remains online. Such is the case with Tory Lanez's new pre-album single featuring Future, which dropped last Friday, but was then removed, with the promise that it'd return this coming Friday. That scarcity certainly aided in its chart performance, as it only had three days of eligibility this week.
Tory's the only artist with multiple appearances this week. New songs barely missing out on a top ten spot include Zaytoven and Lil Uzi Vert's "Alot" (#11), Ludacris' "Vices" (#12), PartyNextDoor and Rick Ross' "Better Man" (#13), and Hoodrich Pablo Juan and Migos' "Do What I Wanna Do" (#15).
10. Kendrick Lamar Feat. Rich The Kid - New Freezer
Last week's #1 is this week's #10. Rich The Kid's biggest-ever collaborative boon seems like it'll do wonders for him and boost his visibility in rap, as it's certainly one of his most popular songs ever as a lead artist. In its second week out, it's down nine places from #1 to #10.
9. Tory Lanez - Skrt Skrt
Tory's now had two tracks on two consecutive top ten lists. The most recent one on last week's list was "Skrt Skrt," a more R&B-focused record than its predecessor, "Shooters," but like that track, this one has managed to stay in the top ten for another week. In its second week out, "Skrt Skrt" is down three places from #6 to #9.
8. Ty Dolla Sign Feat. YG - Ex
Ty Dolla's long-awaited Beach House 3 arrives in just a little over two weeks, and having already drummed up anticipation with three pre-release tracks, last week he returned again with a YG-assisted single. "Ex" has a tropical vibe that perfectly fits the release series' name, and judging by its 88% user rating, it's exactly what most fans want from Ty.
7. Ace Hood - They Said It
Ever since he parted ways with We The Best Music, Ace Hood's been seeking a comeback, and in HNHH's audience, he's found welcome ears. His Trust The Process mixtape was a hit this summer, and "They Said It" is now his second song since to make our top ten. "They Said It" debuts at #7.
6. Smokepurpp Feat. Travis Scott - Fingers Blue
The most popular track from Smokepurpp's recent Deadstar project wasn't even technically on it. The Travis Scott-featuring, Mike Dean-produced "Fingers Blue" was definitely the track with the most star power, but for some reason it was saved to be a Soundcloud loosie in the wake of the album's release. In its second week out, it's down one spot from #5 to #6.
5. A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie Feat. 21 Savage - Undefeated
Another young artist with a recent debut album is A Boogie, whose The Bigger Artist arrived about a week and a half ago. Yet again, it's the song with the biggest guest spot that charts. "Undefeated" features another former XXL Freshman, 21 Savage, and was produced by Murda Beatz and !llmind. This one debuts at #5.
4. Kodak Black - I N U
Another week, another Kodak Black loosie with a user rating well under 50%. Following up tracks from earlier in the fall like a sequel to "No Flocking," "I N U" is a far more polished song, but still finishes with just a 25% approval rating. In its second week out, it's up 41 spots from #45 to #4.
3. Tyga - Boss Up
This many people really want a Tyga singing album? After dropping Bitch I'm The Shit 2 back in July, T-Rawww announced that his next project would mostly feature singing tracks, and "Boss Up" suggests that he wasn't fucking around with that statement. This one debuts at #3.
2. Young Thug & Lil Yachty - On Me
This one's proving pretty huge for Quality Control, the label that will soon release a compilation featuring "On Me," among other tracks featuring their artists. After debuting at #3 this week, the Thugger/Yachty collab is up one spot to finish at #2 in its second week out.
1. Tory Lanez Feat. Future - Real Thing
We still don't have many details and Tory's upcoming new album, but it's pretty clear that it's almost complete. The rapper/singer's now shared a new song every Friday for three weeks, and "Real Thing," with its Future appearance, is probably the biggest one yet. It debuts at #1.
