Earlier this month, Pennsylvania rapper Lil Skies dropped off his mixtape Life Of A Dark Rose, and now he's coming through with some new visuals from the project. The Nicholas Jandora directed clip for "Lettuce Sandwich" finds a masked-up Skies and his cronies causing some horrific ruckus, leaving a trail of tortured bodies in their wake.
In an interview with XXL, Skies reveals his inner film buff, explaining some of the video's inspirations. ""The video was inspired by movies like Mad Max, Texas Chainsaw Massacre and American Psycho," explains the rapper. "We basically wanted it to just have a dark theme to it and keep people questioning what they just saw." The Texas Chainsaw homage is particularly well done, with a visible homage to the iconic "dinner scene" from Tobe Hooper's classic. If you're looking to catch more from Skies, the rapper's upcoming Life of a Dark Rose Tour kicks off March 11th - buy tickets here.
