Snoop Dogg re-releases his 1996 Christmas song “Santa Claus Goes Straight To The Ghetto” featuring Boyz 2 Men.

Snoop Dogg is taking his Holiday spirit back to the Ghetto. Twenty-one years after hitting us “Santa Claus Goes to the Ghetto” off Christmas on Death Row, Snoop Dogg decides to revisit the 1996 song by re-releasing it with a little help from Boyz II Men instead of Nate Dogg.

Singing Nate Dogg’s chorus, the Philly boy band croon “Santa Claus is comin’ straight to the ghetto,” while Snoop paints a perfect Christmas picture in his verses. “Santa Claus on the ceiling, Jack Frost chillin’,” he raps. “Pinched the Grinch for bein’ a holiday villain / Season’s greetings / All the proceedings / Are brought to you by the church house, where we’ll be eatin’.”

Snoop dogg has never been afraid to get into the holiday spirit. Back in 2008 he dropped off Christmas in Tha Dogghouse, a holiday compilation album with appearances from Nate Dogg, Kurupt, Daz Dillinger, and more. In addition to that, he’s also released countless Christmas songs, including  “Santa Baby” with Puff Daddy, Ma$e, & Salt-N-Pepa, and “Spark One Up with Santa Claus!” featuring Jenn EM and The FredWreck Rkestra to name a few.

Take a listen to the 1996 remake and have a Merry Christmas!

Quotable Lyrics:

Chestnuts roastin' on an open fire
Singin' my jingle, where is Kris Kringle
I didn't pop, I ain't even shouted
I even stayed in the house, where the homies tried to sneak me out
