A$AP Ferg makes it look easy.

A$AP Ferg is back with his first effort of 2018, "Family," which drops in collaboration with Hennessy, hip-hop's favorite liquor. The track showcases a different side of Ferg's artistic talents, featuring a single cover hand painted by the A$AP Mob lyricist. As for the song itself, "Family" finds Ferg reflecting on his mama, daddy, grandmother, and more as he slides over a smooth, bass driven instrumental. It's always nice to hear Ferg going in over something more old-school; in many ways, he feels most comfortable over nineties-inspired live instrumentation. This track is no exception, and Ferg's laid back flow is razor sharp, reminiscent of peak Busta Rhymes.

"That's what I'm sayin' drug game like a cancer," raps Ferg, "he was wearin' pandas, mink coats, now he's in the slammer." By the time the second verse raps up, Ferg is basically rapping up a storm. If this is what happens when he's gone off the Henny, somebody get this man another bottle. Catch Ferg on the road with Denzel Curry and IDK on the Mad Man tour, kicking off in February.

Quotable Lyrics

I used to hang out with gangbangers like Santana
With bandannas who read codes with red clothes
With pit bulls to red nose
