This August will mark the second anniversary of Megan Thee Stallion's Traumazine album, on which she worked with Future, Rico Nasty, Jhene Aiko, Lucky Daye, and several other artists while putting her heart and hot girl attitude into each one of her verses. After some necessary healing time to get her mind, body, and spirit right, Thee Stallion is stepping on necks in 2024, already leaving Nicki Minaj unimpressed with "HISS."
Today (April 10), Megan and Women's Health unveiled her nude cover shoot, accompanied by an interview that covers everything from upcoming music to the infamous Tory Lanez trial. "A lot of people didn’t treat me like I was human for a long time," Thee Stallion recalled of life after being shot by her former friend. "I feel like everybody was always used to me being the fun and happy party girl. I watched people build me up, tear me down, and be confused about their expectations of me." Outside of her free-spirited reputation, Tina Snow also says the colour of her skin played a role in people's treatment of her.
Megan Thee Stallion Bares Her Body and Soul
"As a Black woman, as a darker Black woman, I also feel like people expect me to take the punches, take the beating, take the lashings, and handle it with grace. But I’m human," the 29-year-old reminded readers. "I stayed in my room, I would not turn the lights on, I had blackout curtains. I didn’t want to see the sun, I knew I wasn’t myself. It took me a while to acknowledge that I was depressed. But once I started talking to a therapist, I was able to be truthful with myself," Meg shared of her darker moments.
As Megan Thee Stallion continues to focus on positive healing energy ahead of her new musical era, we've also got updates on Tory Lanez. The Canadian is still in prison at this time, but R&B icon Mario shared that they've been in contact recently, also giving an update on how the father of one is doing lately.
