Tee Grizzley is ringing in his latest accomplishments in style. Following the initial taping of the BET Hip-Hop Awards Friday night (October 6th), the Detroit-bred rapper treated himself to a new chain, taking the form of a bear, keeping in theme with his ‘Grizzley” moniker. He took to Instagram to reveal the icy new cop.
“Gift to myself for being nominated twice at the BET Hip Hop Awards 🏆🏆💯💪🏾 ps. That’s the bear growling not me,” he captioned in a video that captured all angles of the newest addition to his jewelry collection.
Grizzley's two nominations this year included Best New Hip-Hop Artist and Best Mixtape for his My Moment project. We’re not quite sure if he won or not as he only references his nominations, not wins. But, we’re not willing to count him out just yet considering the fact these things are (trying to be) kept a secret until the official air date of the annual ceremony, set to kick off on the night of October 10th on BET.
“Im Glad I Met Gary he got me straight @Goldensunjewelry…He only said three things, Leave it to me, it’s going to be crazyyyy, and you will be happy…🐻🐠💉,” the rapper captioned in a second video in reference to Golden Sun Jewelry in his home state of Michigan, responsible for the creation of the piece.
Currently, Tee Grizzley is on his Ain’t It a Blessing tour, a run that got going last Wednesday (October 4th)in Seattle and will last throughout the rest of the month. Monday evening (October 9th), he is set to take the Observatory in Santa Ana, California before continuing throughout select dates that will eventually close out in his hometown of Detroit, Michigan in the city’s Fillmore venue.
