Matthew Stafford carried the Detroit Lions to a 30-17 victory over the Packers Monday night in Lambeau Field.

It now makes a little bit more sense why Matthew Stafford is the highest paid player in all of football. On Monday night, the Lions QB scorched the Packers defense and helped the lions snap a 3-game losing streak winning 30-17 in Lambeau Field, and it wasn’t even as close as the score makes it out to be.

Stafford found WR Marvin Jones for a 25-yard touchdown pass on Detroit’s opening offensive possession and the team never looked back from there. Detroit pretty much dominated every aspect of the game, finishing with 417 total yards of offense compared to 311 yards for the Packers. The Lions also had 36:55 time of possession, and actually never punted the ball once. It was the first time since 1971 that the Lions didn't punt in a game, and the first time this year that's happened in the NFL.

Green Bay’s first touchdown of the game came in the fourth quarter when Brett Hundley went in for a 1-yard touchdown run, but it was too little too late to make it any sort of game. Interestingly enough though, Monday night’s game was the second time in the Lions’ last 27 trips to Lambeau Field that the team left with a victory.

As for fantasy impact, Stafford stole the show Monday night, throwing for a whopping 361 yards and 2 TDS, while having 0 interceptions in the process. WR Marvin Jones was on the receiving end of both of Stafford’s TD’s, ending up with 107 yards, meanwhile Golden Tate had 113 yards in the air, but no TD’s. As for Green Bay’s side of things, Randall Robb led the team with 58 yards on 5 catches, while Adams added 53 yards on 7 catches. Jordy Nelson ended with 4 catches 35 yards. However, not too much at all went right for the Pack Monday night, who fell on the season 4-4.

Next week, the Packers head into Solider Field in Chicago to take on the Bears, while the Lions host the struggling Cleveland Browns in what should be another victory for them.
