Jay Z, Nipsey Hussle, YG, & Kevin Hart are just some of the celebrities to come to Meek Mill's defense Monday night following his wrongful sentencing.

In case you missed it Monday afternoon, Meek Mill was sentenced by a Philadelphia judge to serve 2-4 years in a state prison for violating probation in a nearly decade-old gun and drug case. The judge cited a failed drug test and a failure to comply with a court order restricting his travel as reasons for the harsh sentencing. The judge added that he’s been trying to help Meek out for about a decade, but he just continues to do whatever he wants.

Since the news broke online that Meek was going back to jail, many of today’s biggest artists & athletes have taken to social media to voice their concern & come to the defense of the MMG rapper. In fact, Jay Z even chimed into the mix late Monday night, and hopped on Facebook to call out the system for being “unjust” & "heavy handed."

“The sentence handed down by the Judge—against the recommendation of the Assistant District Attorney and Probation Officer—is unjust and heavy handed,” Hov wrote on FB. “We will always stand by and support Meek Mill, both as he attempts to right this wrongful sentence and then in returning to his musical career.”

In addition to Hov, everyone from Nipsey Hussle, A Boogie, YG, Kevin Hart, Angie Martinez, Isaiah Thomas, Leonard Fournette & many more have all voiced their opinions of the wrongful sentencing on social media. So we went ahead and decided to round up some of those tweets & posts, which you can see for yourself (below).
