Ashanti is in the midst of a music comeback that is gaining momentum by the day. After being spotted working in the studio with Swae Lee, originally of Rae Sremmurd fame, she dropped her Ty Dolla $ign-assisted single called "Say Less" and has been making the promotional rounds to try and get it more exposure ever since.
This morning, she stopped by The Breakfast Club on Power 105.1 and, before the conversation could even get to her new music, she had to settle and old score with one of the co-hosts of the program. The singer had famously blocked Charlamagne Tha God on Twitter and, as Angela Yee puts it, he was "devastated" by the move. "I've been hurt about this for a while, I'mma be honest with you," he added while Ashanti cracked up in the chair beside him.
The reason for the block? Ashanti says it was right after her Braveheart album debuted, when Charlamagne was apparently "talking reckless," something that the R&B hitmaker didn't take kindly too. Seeing as he's already been blocked on Twitter by other famous faces, including Wendy Williams, Birdman, Amy Schumer and many others, he's not stranger to being given the cold shoulder on social media.
Ashanti had him unblock himself on Twitter using her phone and then exchanged a high-five with Angela Yee when they agreed that the radio personality should, essentially, follow the title of her new song and say less, just in general.
