After making the 2017 XXL Freshman class, Kap G has been flying relatively under the radar. Yesterday, he dropped off his new mixtape Real Migo Shit 4, which features appearances from Lil Uzi Vert, Skippa Da Flippa, Lil Baby, Don Ace, Wes, and HoodRich Pablo Juan. And while every guest holds it down, the latter comes through for one of the tape's standout moments "Boss Luv." Like many modern day bangers, the smooth instrumental feels trap-inspired, albeit more sensual in nature; for one, it's not in a minor key, and the progression is more evocative of sunlit beaches than trap houses.
Kap G holds it down with a strong melodic presence, and while he's certainly capable of delivering the bars, his artistic versatility is much appreciated.
