A highlight from the new second disc of "Merry Christmas Lil Mama: Re-Wrapped."

Just in time for the holidays, Chance The Rapper and Jeremih have come together once again for the expanded version of their 2016 project Merry Christmas Lil Mama. "Held It Down" is one of 9 new tracks on the newly released disc 2 of the tape, and it demonstrates the unique energy that made the first edition so great.

The track is mainly a Chance song, with Jeremih providing subtle, but very essential harmonies and backing vocals throughout. The song is about the loyalty of family, from favorite cousins, to sharing your grandaddy's name, to dying for your blood. Chance starts with a propulsive triplet flow before settling into a Young Thug-esque pocket on the second verse, dropping some distinctly Chicago punchlines ("made a million like Tink"). If your family is cool enough it should be the perfect thing to throw on during your holiday celebrations.

Quotable Lyrics:
Bitch, don't play with my family
I keep with my family
Your ugly ass family
Your great-great grandmama
Shoulda used Plan B
We petty, we ghetto
You touch it, you die hoe
And that's on my grandaddy's grave
I got my grandaddy's name
Set it off Big Daddy Kane
Tell all my cousins who bustin'
And shakin' to come out the crib
Christmas is coming and I got the gift
