While some Migos fans will never stop reminding you that the group was poppin' well before Culture, the fact remains that the Atlanta group's second studio album helped establish them as dominant presence in the mainstream. After the now-platinum album dropped, Offset, Quavo & Takeoff soon found themselves sweeping award ceremonies, hitting fashion galas, and dominating the charts. Offset even linked up with rapper Cardi B, and the duo soon became one of hip-hop's most recognizable power couples; the couple recently stole the show at NYFW, which you can witness here. All the while, fans wondered when the group's upcoming sequel Culture 2 was set to drop.
A few months back, Offset teased that it would be dropping in October. With the month right around the corner and still no single in sight, it stands to reason that Migos may very well be pushing the project back. Aside from the possible release month, we really haven't heard that much about Culture 2. However, in a video obtained by TMZ, Quavo does drop a small tidbit of information.
After being pressed about whether or not Cardi "broke the mold" for reality stars to segue into hip-hop, Quavo's flippant response of "I don't know nothing about all that" basically translated into "don't ask me stupid questions." However, he did reveal that Cardi B was set to feature on Migos' upcoming album, and told us to "wait on it."
It's not much, and to be honest, many might have guessed it was an inevitable collaboration. Offset and Cardi have previously collaborated on her song "Lick," and if "Bodak Yellow" continues to last into the autumn, it would be a beneficial move for both parties. As of now, stay tuned for Culture 2, tentatively slated for an ambiguous autumn release. But don't be surprised if it gets pushed back.
