Mike Rebel is currently readying a forthcoming project that is set to feature appearances from the likes of French Montana, Cee-Lo Green, Nelly, Nipsey Hussle, Gucci Mane, boasting production credits from duo Cool N Dre.
But just before that arrives, the South Central-bred artist has teamed up with T-Pain to deliver on his statement track "Paint Me In God." You'll notice that the cover art flosses a bold flip of the recent controversial H&M photo in which a young black model wore a hoodie that read "Coolest Monkey In The Jungle.
“We were actually going to hold 'Paint Me In God' for a later release but when I saw the H&M ad, I felt it whether it was intentional or not, they were insensitive to the way people are pained in society," Mike explains. "So paint me in gold if you’re going to paint me but I’d rather you paint me in God."
Quotable Lyrics:
You been too busy tryna be wavy
Them niggas is not worried about your safety
If you keep shining on that corner, they gon' gun you down
And take that shit that you been flexing lately
Them niggas is not worried about your safety
If you keep shining on that corner, they gon' gun you down
And take that shit that you been flexing lately
