Just a few months after sharing his underrated BAcCWArdFeELiNgS project, Skooly has shared Don't You Ever Forget Me, the first of a trilogy of EPs. On "Habit," a highlight from the project, the Atlanta rapper teams with fellow Street Execs artist 2 Chainz on some production from Mr. 2-17. AS has become his signature, 2-17's beat uses the DNA of mid-00s ATL Snap to create something that sounds like the past and the future at once.

On his guest verse, Chainz raps "Rest in peace to Bankroll, I had a flashback," a nod to Bankroll Fresh that feels fitting on a song that continues in the tradition of the late rapper's "Walked In." Meanwhile, Skooly lays low on the hook, offering a casually rapped hook rather than breaking out his confident singing voice. His ability to craft catchy and memorable refrains is as strong as ever.

Mr. 2-17 released his adventurous solo album Closer in December.

Quotable Lyrics:
All these rings on my finger shining
Like a grilly
Last night I screamed 'Free Meek'
And popped a wheelie
Everybody want a bankroll
So where the cash at?
Rest in peace Bankroll, I had a flashback
