First gaining recognition with a feature on the YMCMB crew track "Bedrock", Tyga has had a significant rise to fame over the years and has never looked back. Having released an independent album followed by two successful studio albums, the Compton native is surfing on the wave of success he's created along with his crew members Drake and Nicki Minaj. Turning 23 today, Tyga has achieved more success at a young age than most people ever achieve in a lifetime. In honor of his birthday, here are the Tyga's ten most popular tracks.
Other upcoming birthdays:
Game (Nov. 27th), Jay-Z (Dec 4th), Yasiin Bey - Mos Def (Dec. 11th), DMX (Dec. 18th)
Still Got It (Feat. Drake)
Rack City
Don't act like you don't still bump this. One of the hottest songs of the last few years, everyone and their grandmother was - and in some cases, still is - grooving out to this instant classic. With an infectious beat by DJ Mustard that hooks you right in combined with the simplest of choruses, if you're behind the times, get with it.
Faded (Feat. Lil Wayne)
Tyga's growth in recent years is perfectly exemplified by his strong verses on this track but he gets completely overshadowed by his mentor and one of the greatest of all time in Lil Wayne. It's a good song but as soon as Weezy takes the mic, the song becomes great and instantly wins. A perfect track to exemplify YMCMB overall star power.
Careless World
A song to silence all the haters out there. Most critics say that Tyga has no depth in his rap with most of his tracks covering materialistic topics and the YMCMB member answered them with "Careless World". The title track of his album, Tyga spits methodically over a slow beat which allows the rapper to enunciate each line to perfection. Reiterating his heartfelt emotions and allowing the listener to truly understand who Tyga is, this is easily his most underrated song.
Diced Pineapples
A smooth freestyle that showcases Tyga's skills on the mic. Off of his mixtape Well Done 3, this track is definitely not one to be slept-on.
King And Queens (Feat. Wale & Nas)
Tyga goes up against Wale and Nas in a song where he humbly takes third place but introduces the two power-weights' verses with a strong one of his own. It's a dope track that exemplifies all three of their ambitions and how they've achieved their childhood dreams. Watch out for Nas absolutely destroying it with the last verse on the song.
Make It Nasty
With a synth-heavy beat to rap over, Tyga doesn't disappoint as he lays out three strong verses coupled with a catchy chorus that stays with you long after you've stopped listening. A track for the club or for driving around with the homies, you won't be disappointed when you hit play.
Muthafucka Up (Feat. Nicki Minaj)
An infectious beat; simple, catchy lines; a strong Nicki Minaj feature that leaves your ear tingling. This is a perfect cocktail for a classic track and adds to a growing number of hits for the YMCMB crew.
Do My Dance (Feat. 2Chainz)
As soon as you start listening to it, all you want to do is blast this track as loud as you can. With an incredibly infectious beat and an even catchier hook, this is a dope track despite 2 Chainz's weak verse as Tyga covers him delivering two back to back solid verses.
For The Fame (Feat. Chris Brown & Wynter Gordon)
A radio-friendly single that propelled Tyga to the fame that he was blaming the girl for seeking out, this track showcases yet another successful collaboration between Chris Brown and Tyga. A song for the clubs, ladies feel free to grove to it as the guys bump their heads in appreciation.
