From the Baton Rouge rapper's new project "BooPac."

The opening of Boosie's "Real Shooter" feels reminiscent of a rap classic. "Man, what the fuck this n***a want? Shit 4:30 in the morning, Calling a n***a this fucking early, this n***a crazy," wonders the Baton Rouge rapper, instantly bringing to mind the dialogue-driven "Warning" by Notorious B.I.G. Boosie's phone conversation only lasts a few lines, but his paranoia is similar. He spends the remainder of the song with tough talk for his enemies, sounding as emotional and confrontational as we've ever heard him.

The song comes off Boosie's new double album BooPac, released Friday. The rapper previously promised a double album along the lines of All Eyez On Me in 2014, but despite releasing a large amount of music, has only now delivered on the concept. "I'm bringing that real quality music, what's really going on in the world besides popping bottles, and models and things like that. That reality rap. That N.W.A., Geto Boys rap, and people gotta feel it," he said at the time. If that's what you're looking for, BooPac isn't a bad place to find it.

Quotable Lyrics:
So ain’t no telling what we will do to you
Little rap boys who act hard
I sent an army of commandos and Rambos
Niggas who watch you all night
Through gazelles, not binoculars
Smash you go eat tilapia
Laugh at you over dinner
Focusin' eyes open
There’s no laughing when we in that rental
