The latest adidas Originals flagship store has opened today, and it is the biggest store the company has ever seen. Located in Chicago, Illinois, at 1532 North Milwaukee Avenue, all your adidas needs will be sold in a 4,966 square foot building. The new shop will without a doubt add some extra flair and life to the surrounding community as the city's local arts organization, iPaintMyMind, will also use the space to showcase upcoming artists and rising local talents.
Some live acts like Knox Fortune, BJ the Chicago Kid and DJ ELZ were brought in to support the launch.
“The adidas Originals flagship store in Chicago shows our ongoing commitment to exploring new and innovative ways to be part of the local community,” explains Pascha Naderi-Nejad, Senior Brand Director in the official press release. “Now our largest adidas Originals store in the world, everything about it exemplifies how we partner with creators who have shared values and an ability to push the bounds of creativity. We’re continuously inspired by Chicago, and the store enables us to celebrate the pioneering culture and creativity the city has to offer. We are excited to be based in Wicker Park and look forward to building new relationships in the neighborhood.”
One of adidas's latest collaborations (sure to be available in the new store) are the adidas Athletics x Reigning Champ drop. The new kicks were designed for the everyday life that pair Reigning Champ's innovation with adidas' performance shoe. The shoe goes for a retail price of $160. Along with the shoe is the apparel drop that features tights, pants, tees, pullovers, hoodies, jackets and a satchel bag for both men and women. Prices for the apparel range from $45 to $250.
The apparel launches globally on October 6 and footwear launches October 7th on adidas.com, select adidas stores, Reigning Champ online, Reigning Champ flagship stores and select fashion boutiques.
