Lil Duke's new mixtape, Uberman 2, has some choice features. Hoodrich Pablo Juan, Offset, UnoTheActivist (x2), Young Nudy, Gunna, Shad da God all make appearances, making it hard to choose a favorite-- but if we had to choose, the cake goes to Offset (sorry Wiz) (but also, are you surprised?) on the dark and twisted production of "Double." Still, Wiz Khalifa-featured "Melrose" is a smooth effort in its own right, in a different lane, so we're highlighting both songs. Whereas "Double" will slowly hype you up, thus acting well as an early record to track your turn-up, "Melrose" is perfect for laidback activities, namely smoking weed-- clearly Wiz is the perfect feature for it.
Duke uses the song as an opportunity to thank Young Thug for giving him a leg up, "Thugga he came and he got me and he sent me down better roads," Duke sing-raps in the hook. He uses a melodic flow for the string-riddled production. Take a listen, and go check out the full Uberman 2 stream right here.
Quotable Lyrics
Young Khalifa got no time for n*ggas who can't stand on they own two
Fuck you talking about 'fore it's time to show and prove
What you gon do?
When everybody hustling, everybody shining
Everybody fall through
Soon as shit get crazy, been a couple days
And ain't nobody call you
