While the spotlight has remained fixated on a certain sound when it comes to Atlanta, the beauty of the city, as is the case with most metropoles, is the versatility it offers in new talent. If you were so inclined to keep your ears tuned into the deep recesses of the hotbed this year, you'd have a front row seat to said versatility. Among those new voices, we've landed on Jaye Newton.
It was back in September that the East Atlanta upstart dropped off his Real Men Wear Pink album, a project that effectively captured every aspect of his environment from the grit and subsequent hunger that spawned from his upbringing to the introspection that comes with such a drive. His latest offering succeeds at portraying the former in the form of the new visuals for his "Relate" track.
Produced by Bossman, who handles the backdrop of every track on Newton's project save for one track, "Relate" is a narrative in which Jaye Newton sets himself apart from the pack.
"Flexing one thing that I hate / Sorry I cannot relate / Me I'm just trying to be great /I know you cannot relate," the emcee unleashes on the cut. Feel free to get acquainted with the budding Newton via "Relate."
