Twista drops a nostalgic new single called "The Boardwalk."

Twista has come through to deliver a visually striking ode to "The Boardwalk," which is set to appear on Jonathan Hay's upcoming album The Hoodlum Ball. The album, which carries a loose concept throughout, is set to feature contributions from The Game, Twista, KXNG Crooked, CyHi The Prynce, Riff Raff and more. And while it's hard to say what the sonic direction might be, Twista's track is certainly fueled by its musical predecessors. Producers Smith and Hay, along with Ranna Royce flip a sixties classic from The Drifters called "Under The Boardwalk," and for whatever reason, it awoke something in Twista's vivid imagination.

There's something deeply cinematic about the imagery here, and Twista remains consistently on point. In fact, his rapid-fire flow hasn't lost a step in over twenty years, and there's something to be said about that. If you enjoyed his slept on Crook County project, do yourself a favor and take a trip to "The Boardwalk."

Quotable Lyrics

Take a look at the sky and the clouds
You're hearing the sound and feeling the breeze around
The feel the motion the ocean surrounding your body
And nature be showing you how to get down
