ScHoolboy Q never fails to tell it like it is, and his unflinching approach has made him one of the game's most compelling and entertaining personalities. And while DJ Quik and DJ Mustard have both expressed interest in making music with Lakers rookie Lonzo Ball, Q is far from convinced. In fact, he's adamantly against the idea, and proceeds to make that hilariously clear in an interview with TMZ Sports. While en route to his car, the Blank Face rapper was caught by a camera, who immediately showed Q some love for his fresh Angels jersey. Q, clearly pleased with the recent World Series result, set things off with a "fuck the Dodgers, man."
It's not all hate though. Q proceeds to show some love to Clayton Kershaw, calling the Dodgers pitcher "one of the best pitchers in baseball," in spite of his game five performance. Eventually, conversation turns to the Lakers and more specifically, the burgeoning rap career of Lonzo Ball. When informed about DJ Quick & Mustard's interest in potentially collaborating with the young Big Baller, Q can't help but laugh at the idea. When asked if he'd be willing to jump on a Lonzo track, Q comes through with a classic response. "No. Hell no," laughs the rapper. "I'd rather see that n***a score some points and get some damn assists. Fuck no, man! Stick to basketball! Would he want me on the Lakers, hell no! No studio man, he gotta be great, be great, make history."
There you have it, some wisdom from the ever-reliant ScHoolboy Q. In recent Lonzo news, the young rookie's squad was recently defeated by a last-second three pointer from fellow baller-slash-rapper Damian Lillard. What do you think about Q's comments? Should Lonzo stick to the improving on the courts, or is it healthy to have multiple outlets of expression?
