A standout from "Double Or Nothing."

"Reason" is a bright point in Big Sean and Metro Boomin's new collaborative project Double Or Nothing. With co-production from one of the only producers who rivals Metro's producer of the year title, Pi'erre Bourne, the song has a light-on-its-feet feel that sets it apart from the rest of the tracklist. It also has an interesting, unconventional structure. While you'd expect Swae Lee to take the hook, or if not, a verse, he instead provides a dreamy bridge that never returns. From there he shows up only once more to ad-lib Sean's melodic hook.

The project features some impressive guest appearances from the likes of 2 Chainz, Travis Scott, Young Thug, and Kash Doll. It's Big Sean's second project of the year, following I Decided, and Metro's fourth, following DropTopWop with Gucci Mane, Perfect Timing With Nav, Without Warning with Offset and 21 Savage. Needless to say, it's been a big year for both artists, and (the cleverly-abbreviated) DON feels like a victory lap for both artists.

Quotable Lyrics:
I think these boys don't like me
Want to fight me
But they don't talk to my face
Like they do on IG
I guess it bring the best out of me
When they doubt me, for sure
Fucked up how my mind be
Maybe the mayhem calm me
Eat 'em alive like zombies
I think I got insomnia
Up all night to the morning
Turn my phone off 'cause I got a higher calling
