Just days after Ezekiel Elliott was denied a request for a preliminary injunction by U.S. District Judge Katherine Polk Failla, the Cowboys running back has been granted a stay. In other words, instead of serving the six-game suspension he will be eligible to play this Sunday against the Kansas City Chiefs.
On Tuesday, Judge Failla stayed the decision for 24 hours to afford parties the opportunity to consider appellate options which is exactly what Zeke and the NFLPA did. They appealed the decision to the U.S. Court of Appeals, 2nd Circuit and the administrative stay was granted.
According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Elliott's fate will be decided next week, but we won't hold our breathe.

Ironically, this announcement comes less than 24 hours after NFL attorneys said the Ezekiel Elliott appeal had no chance of success.
Per ESPN,
"The attorneys told the 2nd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Manhattan that it should not interfere with Elliott beginning his suspension Sunday when the Cowboys play Kansas City at home because the NFL Players Association "has no likelihood of success on appeal."
The back and forth of it all is absolutely exhausting, but Ezekiel Elliott fantasy football owners can sleep well knowing their #1 running back will be eligible for at least one more game. The Cowboys, 4-3, will host the 6-2 Chiefs this Sunday at 4:25pm ET.
So far this season, Ezekiel Elliott has combined for 900 yards (690 rushing) and a total of eight touchdowns, six of which came on the ground.
