Lil West & Judge drop off an experimental jam.

Judge and Lil West have united for "Promise," a psychedelic, electro-inspired new single. This one is something like a journey, and Judge keeps the instrumentation exciting with an ever-evolving arrangement. Kicking off with a Kanye-West-esque autotuned choir, the beat goes on to shift into a club-friendly groove. Lil West has proven himself a versatile vocalist, and he adapts himself well on this, busting out an insanely catchy melody in the second verse. It's a good look for the young rapper, who showcases a keen ear for melody; in fact, the second half of this track is among West's finest work.

The track concludes on a wild note, diving head on into experimental territory. Digital effects permeate the vocals, rising into a cacophonous blend of vocoder vocals, percussion, and synthesizers. Still, the track does feel like it could benefit from a more established structure, grounding itself around West's main melodic line. However, it does stand out as a cool addition to the rapper's growing discography.

Quotable Lyrics

Remember when i used to had a truck
Everytime you wanted goose I pulled up on ya
Honestly i thought you was a thot
And that would make it twenty two if i popped ya
