To put it mildly, yesterday was a struggle for Tyrese. The entertainer, best known for his recurring role in the Fast & Furious film franchise, admitted to being broke and dealing a ruined reputation that was allegedly at the hands of his ex-wife's rumor spreading. Shortly thereafter, he shared a very emotional video on Instagram, where he cried buckets while insisting that he might not be able to see his daughter again. He eventually got his head and heart under control enough to share a statement with his fans and the public at large, assuring people that he wasn't unhinged, but lacking money and frustrated. Today, upon arriving at a Los Angeles courthouse for a custody hearing, security personnel were taking no chances with Tyrese.
As per TMZ, bailiffs on the premises were concerned that Tyrese may in fact try and bring a weapon into the courtroom. They didn't leave anything to chance, cornering him in a hallway and giving him a thorough pat-down earlier today (November 2nd). Four bailiffs administered the security check, with Tyrese complying amicably at every juncture. His custody case, which has been going on for more than a week, involves his ex-wife, Norma Gibson, attempting to get a permanent restraining order against him, a move that would block Tyrese from seeing his 10-year-old daughter Shayla. There was no update in the report as to any assumed outcome of the custody battle, but based on the actor's emotional reaction on social media on Wednesday, he clearly doesn't want to lose contact with his child.
Tyrese faced a large amount of ridicule online after he posted that video on Instagram, with 50 Cent counting himself as one of those haters. "😆when them pockets is hit boy, God Damn 😳LOL," said the rapper in his own response on social media earlier today. Later on in the post, he had some choice words for the Fast & Furious star that apparently goes back a little while. "F**k him," he continued. "He should a mind his business when I was talking to Taraji, he come jumping in like he think we in a f**king movie. Punk ass Coca Cola kid." You can see 50 Cent's entire post here.
