2 Chainz will release Pretty Girls Like Trap Music on June 16th. He's already shared the cover art, the tracklist, and four songs: "Big Amount," "It’s a Vibe," "Good Drank," & "4 AM" feat. Travis Scott.
Which means it's time to give the people the only thing they want more than Pretty Girls Like Trap Music itself: an HNHH-crafted Pretty Girls Like Trap Music wishlist.

A Pharrell beat
The Pretty Girls Like Trap Music tracklist includes a Pharrell feature on the penultimate track, "Bailan." Hopefully this means Pharrell produced this song, which, judging from its title, pertains to dancing. Pharrell produced arguably the greatest 2 Chainz ever: "Feds Watching," a flawlessly executed expression of flossing with impunity in the face of federal investigation; Pharrell evokes both luxury and sub-tropical heat, elevating Chainz to the level of Pablo Escobar.
More Mr. 2-17 production
Buddah Bless This Beat has four production credits on PGLTM, including "Big Amount." We hope 2 Chainz has given a platform with another unheralded producer with whom he has had success in the past: Mr. 2-17.
Every song 2-17 has produced for Chainz—"Ghetto," "Blue C-Note," & "El Chapo Jr"—has been exquisite. 2-17's signature *shattering glass* sound never fail to get the blood boiling. Read his in-depth interview with HNHH here.
A lyrical hurricane
2 Chainz's iconic line "She got a big booty, so I call her Big Booty," is sometimes cited as an example of his lyrical incompetence, or as an example of hip hop's declining lyrical quality writ large. On the contrary, 2 Chainz is a wizard with the pen prone to moments of freewheeling lyrical genius. Here are just a few memorable turns of phrase he has concocted over the years:
- “Wood grain, chestnut; titty fuck chest nut"
- "Drinking breast milk out a lean cup"
- "Known to act a donkey on the camel-toe, then take the camel-toe and turn it into casserole"
- "Crib bigger than your imagination"
So yeah, hopefully there's more where that came from.
An irresistible summer banger co-starring Swae Lee
Swae Lee has been confirmed as a feature on "Poor Fool." Given his track record of putting out banger of cantankerous and splendiferous proportions, there's a high chance his alliance with 2 Chainz could result in a turn-up anthem that now one will be able to resist this summer.
A career-defining trap masterpiece
2016 was probably the best year of 2 Chainz's illustrious career, but you wouldn't quite call it a career year. It didn't yield a signature album (he spread out the goodness across four projects) and it didn't yield a signature hit (his most-notable performance was his verse on Chance the Rapper's "No Problem").
We have high hopes for Pretty Girls Like Trap Music. We hope that is a career-defining and zeitigest-defining album, one that will change the course of trap music as we know it.
