O.J. Simpson was released on parole Sunday morning after serving nine years in a Nevada state correctional facility for kidnapping and armed robbery. Since his release, O.J. has enjoyed a first meal at McDonalds, been living in a $1.8 million dollar Las Vegas mansion, and he’ s even been spotted playing mini golf in his backyard, but it also doesn't look like he's wasting anytime time trying to cash in on the money either. On Thursday morning, TMZ published a story and photo showing the Juice signing a ton of memorabilia in a private room at a Las Vegas hotel Wednesday night, and he apparently has plans to do it all over again tomorrow night. O.J. was reportedly in the room for about two hours signing a variety of items, including USC and Buffalo Bills helmets as the photo shows (see below). The gear will most likely be sold to auctioneers.
However’s here’s the kicker of the story. O.J. apparently owes an insane amount of $100 million dollars to the Goldman and Brown families after 22 years of interest on the original $33 million he was first ordered to give them following the death of Nicole Brown Simpson. If he happens to make money from this autograph session, that money will be subject to seizure to the families, but if he takes it under the table secretly to avoid paying the families, he would be violating federal tax laws. And if he violates the law, his parole could be revoked and he could eventually be thrown back in prison if caught.
O.J. has made it clear in the past that he has no plans of paying the Goldman & Brown families, so who knows what this autograph session is about, but Im sure someone will get down to the bottom of it in the coming days or even hours for that matter. As we said earlier, O.J. is supposed to do it all over again Thursday night.
