Raekwon address the the rumors of a possible Wu-Tang Clan reunion and says it is unlikely because other members are not taking it seriously.

With releases like RZA’s The Man With The Iron Fists soundtrack, and the upcoming Wu-Block album , both having plenty of Wu collabo features, there has been plenty of talk about a possible reunion.  In a recent interview with GlobalGrind, original Wu representative Raekwon talked about the possibility and said the other members are not taking a potential reunion seriously, even though some of them are in dire need of the payday.  He also talks about maybe appearing on the next G.O.O.D. Music collaborative album.

Having dropped their debut album nearly 20 years ago, the Chef says there is plenty of history, and he wants to see a reunion happen, but nothing has been finalized or seriously addressed. “We been talkin about it, and it’s a lot of discussion about it, but it’s not consolidated yet.  We know as a group, 20 years in the business is something serious...it still wasn’t brough to the attention it needs to be brought to.”  Rae is bothered by other Wu disciples not taking it seriously, “everyone’s so non-chalant about it...I don’t respect that, cause it should happen.”

Some in the crew have managed their finances better than others, and the New York spitta says even the successful ones could use the pay increase in today’s economic climate, “We made a lotta money, and we lost a lotta money, and it kinda put certain cats in a situation where, this can help you.”  So many members have shared success that egos have become a problem within the Wu unit and the Cuban Linx rapper would like to see a manager like Russell Simmons intervene to get them in check, “I wanna see it happen but more importantly I wanna see it done the right way.”

Raekwon briefly spoke about appearing on G.O.O.D. Music’s Cruel Winter project, and says there is a likelihood you will see him on there, “I think it’s a go when it comes to that [Cruel Winter], and hey shit, the Chef might be on that muthafucka too...they look at me as one of they brothers they really respect as an artist.”
