It’s been seven years since N.E.R.D. last released an album, Nothing, but thankfully that’s going to change on December 15th when the trio release No_One Ever Really Dies. Last month, the guys debuted the project in its entirety at Complexcon, before later releasing the Rihanna-assisted single “Lemon,” which was later followed by a video. Then just earlier this week, Pharrell decided to treat fans to a second song off the album called “1000” featuring Future, and now a new video has surfaced online Friday night in its support. Pharrell had teased the video earlier on Twitter, before it randomly surfaced via Complex.
You’ll quickly notice that none of the artists appear in the video, but that doesn't really matter here. The video is a powerful portrayal of the world we live in today. From footage of recent protests, which are sparked by political and racial issues, to choreographed dancers and an interlude from Mike Tyson, this video is dope on so many levels.
