Fans may feel a little frustrated with Travis Scott. The Birds In The Trap Sing McKnight rapper is sitting on a vault's worth of new music, including highly anticipated Astroworld and his-as-of-yet untitled collaboration with Quavo, leaving us waiting patiently for his latest creative endeavors. Yet the man has been killing it in other ventures; his recent Bird's Eye View tour has been going strong, and news broke that he was expecting a child with Kylie Jenner, and thus cementing himself in the Kardashian/Jenner legacy forever. Plus, Scott can add yet another win to his ever-growing list, as his single "Butterfly Effect" has officially hit platinum status.
The single which may or may not be appearing on AstroWorld, features production from Murda Beatz and Felix Leone. It's most definitely a banger, and it's no surprise that so many people have flocked to Travis Scott's up-tempo single. In fact, the song may find itself experiencing a second wind of sorts, as Quavo recently teased a remix of sorts. At a Migos concert, a DJ busted out the remix, which featured a full on verse from Quavo. Admittedly, the audio quality in the footage is dubious at best, but it's clear enough to get an impression of exactly what Quavo will add to the track.
"Butterfly Effect" marks Scott's seventh platinum plaque. Previous plaques include "Biebs In The Trap," "Goosebumps," the Birds In The Trap Sing McKnight album, "Pick Up The Phone," Rodeo, and "Antidote." Congrats to Scott, and there's no doubt that his commercial success will continue whenever he drops his future releases.
