To celebrate Independence Day and America’s pastime, Adidas Baseball today unveiled the adizero Afterburner ID4 cleats for the Fourth of July, which will make their on-field debut on more than 100 #teamadidas baseball players over the weekend and for the 4th of July.
Per Adidas,
"Paying tribute to the spirit of the holiday, Adidas designers reminisced about the warm, sunny days of summer and the Fourth of July picnics from their childhood. The highlight of the day was an icy-cold popsicle enjoyed after a long day of playing in the sun. With those memories as inspiration, the limited edition adizero Afterburner ID4 features a melting popsicle theme that slowly fades from red into white and culminates with a blue heel and tongue. A wood popsicle stick-inspired badge sits atop the tongue and gold chrome stripes complete the look."
Additional design details to complete the homage include red and white striped lace tips. A full-length LITESTRIKE EVA midsole provides comfort while a sparkly, iridescent plate with PROTRAX cleat configuration enables dynamic acceleration and traction.
The 2017 adizero Afterburner Fourth of July cleats will be available starting Tuesday, July 4th for $100 exclusively at adidas.com.
