Hustle Gang's Yung Booke drops some heat on "Children Of The Corn"

Coming off a performance on Hustle Gang's We Want Smoke album, Yung Booke has solidified himself as one to watch for. Today, the Atlanta artist delivers an eighteen track project called Children Of The Corn, a title that pays homage to the Stephen King short story slash movie. The project features appearances from fellow Hustle Gang soldier Young Dro, Tokyo Jetz, London Jae, Dae Dae, Skooly, and Joe Gifted. While the album cover suggests a bit of a horrorcore-inspired vibe, the production is pure Atlanta, with infectious trap instrumentals and strong melodies throughout.

The second track, "Yo Go," finds Booke spitting double time over an airy beat from SemajBeats and TEZ Hoodrich, while "Big Dawg" is decidedly more sinister, with a reverberated piano-loop. The rhymes are consistently on point, and while the project does tend to suffer from a little bloat, Booke's enough of a well-rounded emcee to keep things interesting.
