Remy Ma and Safaree will be part of the upcoming season of "Love & Hip-Hop: New York."

For fans of the music and the culture, Love & Hip-Hop has been a staple of VH1's programming since its inception. Years later, the franchise is still going strong, with the latest installment in the Hollywood saga wrapping up. Next up for the network is for the show to take things back to the Big Apple and revisit some of the colorful characters that fans left behind at the end of Season 7. According to a new report, XXL is confirming that Season 8 is on the way and will debut on October 30th. Whats' more, Remy Ma, Safaree and others will be part of a cast that shouldn't be lacking in backstage drama.

Many other big names from Season 7 will also be returning to the fold, with Yandy Smith, Bianca Bonnie, Snoop, Rich Dollaz, MariahLynne and DJ Self all confirmed to be returning cast members. As always, some new players will be thrown into the mix as well, with Lil Mo and her husband, Karl Dargan, signing on to the next NYC season for Love & Hip-Hop. Dargan already has some reality television experience after a stint on R&B Divas. Latin vocalist Anais is also joining the cast as a newcomer, bringing along her manager, Navarro Gray, and his girlfriend Ashley Diaz. Finally, Harlem rapper Jaquae will be involved with a story line that concerns Sophia Body, while rising female rapper, Brittney Taylor, will be on hand to put a little bit of competitive pressure on Bianca. There's no trailer for the upcoming season available as of right now, but word is that a teaser for unreleased episodes could be on the way very soon.

Safaree has been a busy man this week, dropping some major truth bombs about rappers like Nicki Minaj, Meek Mill and Cardi B. While he wouldn't go into specifics about his work with Nicki, he did say that he deserves payment for the time he put in. Also, he confessed that Cardi probably got some help with the writing of "Bodak Yellow," the song that has now made her a star.
