It looks like XXXTentacion may not technically be "retiring" after all.

Internet sensation XXXTentacion has been all over the new this past week for his so-called “early retirement” & beef with friend Ski Mask The Slump God. It all started last week when X said he was done with making music, and tired of being mentally abused. He then followed that up a couple days ago saying that he’ll make music again if him & Ski Mask The Slump God could become friends again, but things aren't looking good with that happening.

In fact, Ski Mask said he had to distance himself from X, saying he’s crazy and that he threatened his family. "I'll always love that alien lookin' n***a named XXX. But I have to distance myself because it's like nobody would see me as an individual rapper if I don't. On top of that, that n***a crazy as hell," he concludes, with a laugh. Slump God then double down and clarified that XXX had threatened his family, and that’s why he’s distancing himself at the moment.

"This is a person who has before threaten[ed] my family, told me I was supposed to be sacrificed on some crazy shit. So no I didn't just separate myself for no reason,” Slump God said in a now-deleted post.

But in the midst of all the BS, it turns out XXXTentacion isn’t really “retiring” from making music after all. On Wednesday night, the Florida rapper decided to take to his IG page and share a snippet of an unreleased record (or sounds) he's been cooking up. He captioned the post with… “said I was going to stop making “music” but... I dont consider this “music.”

It's unclear if this an upcoming record or just some experimental sounds that X is working on but, fans were definitely happy to see him creating again at the very least.
