Big K.R.I.T.'s 4Eva Is A Mighty Long Time was an excellent return to form for the Mississippi emcee, who poured heart, soul, and of course, his own money into what many are calling his magnum opus. And while K.R.I.T. is no doubt focused on the present, it never hurts to reminisce on the past, especially when you have a classic joints in your repertoire. We recently sat down with K.R.I.T. to discuss all manner of topics, and it was only a matter of time before "Glass House," his collaboration with Wiz Khalifa and Curren$y came up.
"That record was influential," says K.R.I.T. "Shout out to Wiz for putting it on Kush & Orange Juice. We made that in 2010, right? Crazy, just how it came about and what it became. It was my introduction to a lot of their fanbase and a lot of people who didn't know we were still making that kind of stuff in the South."
For more on "Glass House," be sure to check out the video in full. It's not long, but Big K.R.I.T. goes into detail about the "pre-deal" days, when touring off a mixtape was a rare achievement.
