Get ready for some more beachside shenanigans.

In need of some new reality TV heat to keep you warm this summer? Then get set for the return of T-shirt time.

The spiritual sequel to the drive-by colonoscopy drama-filled viewing experience that was Jersey Shore, MTV is rolling out "the next shore thing" with its new series, Floribama Shore. It has everything that you loved (or hated) about the original, a brand-new cast of colorful characters and, based on the trailer, at least one Jesus candle. Take a peek at the teaser below.

According to the MTV webpage dedicated to the series, episodes will detail the story "eight young adults who come to spend the summer in the hottest beach town on the Gulf Coast." That beach is Panama City Beach, a sun-soaked world of emotions, libido and body shots that is oh so close to Alabama. The description of the show continues by saying that "each [individual] is armed with incredible life experiences and standing at a crossroads, whether it’s ending a relationship, tasting independence for the first time, or trying to escape the past. This coming of age story captures the very real thrill and angst of being young and trying to figure out the future with a group of people you’ll come to call family." No one asked for more "Shore," but apparently we'll be getting a healthy dose of some when the first episode premieres of November 27th. Set your DVRs ... to self-destruct.

Airing for six seasons and a combined 71 episodes between 2009 and 2012, the original Jersey Shore was both a ratings generator for MTV, as well as a controversial program because of its use of the words "Guido" and "Guidette." Overall, the show was criticized for its portrayal of Italian-American youth; in fact, some of the cast members, including Jenni "J-WOWW" Farley, weren't even of Italian descent. There's no word on whether or not MTV will continue to exploit the perpetuation of certain stereotypes on this new incarnation in the "Shore" universe, but chances are it will be just as divisive, potentially for different reasons, as the original one was. Making celebrities out of some of the Jersey cast members, there's no doubt that we'll be seeing a lot of the Floribama crew this winter.
