Freddie Gibbs and Lophiile deliver an energetic banger.

If you clicked this post, you probably recognize that Freddie Gibbs put out one of the year's most underrated projects in You Only Live 2wice, and deserves to be respected for it. Despite undergoing a harrowing experience in an overseas prison, Gibbs emerged from his stint (in which he was falsely accused) and came through with some of his realest rhymes to date. After the project dropped, however, Gangsta Gibbs has been relatively quiet to close out the year. Now, he's linked up with Los Angeles producer Lophiile for a new song called "Off Top," which was recently premiered by Zane Lowe on his Beats 1 show.

The high-tempo beat is different from what Gibbs usually approaches, but that doesn't stop Freddie from going in like he always does. When asked about the track, Gibbs compared it to a heavyweight fight, while Lophiile praised Freddie's mic skills: "“I just love the way that Freddie rides the beat and comes hard as shit on everything, and just thought it would be a good match." Check out the song below, and remember, don't sleep on You Only Like 2wice.

Quotable Lyrics

Seven bitches in the tub with me,
Actin' mannish at the Caesar's Palace
On the trap phone speakin' Spanish
On the other end waitin' on the package
