How’s it goin’, battle fans? Well if you’re a URL fan it’s goin’ well, as we’ve got releases from both “Born Legacy 4” and “Born Legacy 5”. On the other side of things, Don’t Flop dropped a couple of battles as well. No battles from King of the Dot, but we did get the last round of announcements for Blackout 7, and there are a couple big ones.
O-Red vs Ave
After being gone for about a year, O-Red makes his return to the ring against Ave, an opponent who rose to prominence while he was gone.
DNA vs Pat Stay
Much like Tay Roc vs Charron, this U Dubb “High Stakes 2” battle features a huge name from America going up against one of Canada’s most famous battlers. This battle didn’t have quite the same hype, but the names are just as big, if not bigger.
Steams vs Danny Myers
This battle seems to have some discrepancy with many people saying Steams won in the building but Danny won on camera. Interestingly enough, the “Born Legacy 5” trailer before the battle is getting a lot of the hype here.
Evil vs Oshea
Another Don’t Flop Scotland battle. The first minute of this video is the crowd chanting “Oshea” repeatedly. Then Evil, who is from Scotland, starts his own chant, and the crowd promptly returns to chanting Oshea’s name.
Tony D vs Respek BA
Tony D, one of the U.K.’s favorites, travels to Scotland to battle Respek BA, who hasn’t been seen battling in a few years. However, if you let the fans tell it, Respek hasn’t lost a step in his absence.
Jimz vs Aye Verb
This battle from Rare Breed Entertainment’s “Lift His Soul 3” was actually judged, which isn’t common these days. It’s even more surprising considering the large difference in star power between these MCs.
Caustic Announced for Blackout 7
After what many considered an underwhelming performance at KOTD’s other huge event World Domination 6, Caustic is back over half a year later. Even though he’s been gone a while, he pretty much always keeps things interesting.
Jeffrey Announced for Blackout 7
People have been talking a lot about this year’s Blackout relying more on up and comers than on big names. This is a big example of that, but that’s not to say the event will be any lower in quality. Jeffrey has a fanbase all his own.
Daylyt Announced for Blackout 7
Even though most of us were not surprised by this, it makes sense for KOTD to save an announcement like this for late in the game. Daylyt always gets people talking, so his presence at the event is self explanatory.
Charron vs Aye Verb Announced for Blackout 7
The self proclaimed “Smack killer” is goin’ up against one of Smack’s biggest names, who has a reputation for not doing so well on KOTD. That sounds like a recipe for a Charron win, but if Verb shows up like he did against The Saurus, we could have a classic on our hands.
