Back in September, Tyrese received a blow in his personal life, after his ex was granted a restraining order against the actor/singer after claims that he had spanked their daughter so hard that she couldn't sit afterwards. At the time, Tyrese aired his feelings out on Instagram directed at his former wife, saying "All I wanna do is co/parent nothing else. Please…. Stick and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt……" He continued, stating that he's "only prayed that your heart heals and we live our lives separately and peacefully on behalf of our daughter……There’s someone out here for everybody – Norma I know you can see this, I’m sorry I got re-married, I’m sorry we didn’t work out I’m sorry you haven’t been able to find another man since we separated…… Sometimes you get married and have kids and things just don’t work out, but I have NEVER wished harm on you."
Strong words to be sure, but now it seems that the investigation into Tyrese's actions have been beefed up as well. As per new information published by TMZ, the R&B personality is now under the microscope of the L.A. County Dept. of Children and Family Services after the child abuse claims involving his 10-year-old daughter were made public. Norma Mitchell Gibson, his ex-wife, is also supposedly trying to get a permanent restraining order that would prevent him from using physical force to discipline their kid. Seeking full physical and legal custody of their daughter, Mitchell is also insisting that Tyrese take domestic violence courses. Though potentially just a precautionary measure, the original claims against Tyrese were more than a little frightening.
