Los Angeles rookie Lonzo Ball has had quite a start to his professional career, and that start hit a high note after the Los Angeles Lakers took on the Milwaukee Bucks on Saturday. Although the Lakers did not walk away with the win, Lonzo impressively reeled in a triple-double, becoming the youngest player to do so, beating out Lebron James who previously held the title.
Nonetheless, Lonzo is still on a quest to extend his talents beyond the court and has been fairly consistent in gifting fans with new listens from his catalog on a frequent basis. The latest offering to come of this practice is “BBB,” a cut quite obviously inspired by the Big Baller Brand under which his family operates.
“BBB” arrived earlier in the week ahead of Ball’s stellar performance, and doesn’t veer from the ballplayer’s signature recipe of overstated confidence—a bit of a shift from Ball’s attitude following Saturday’s defeat, despite his accomplishment. "I really don't care," Ball noted in a post-game interview. "We took a loss. It don't really mean nothing."
Quotable Lyrics:
Stacking my bread and increasing my digits
Living life fast, but I ain't rush to the finish
Living life lavish, got everyone living
The brand is Popeye's, but I never eat spinach
