Details emerge from Bruce Maxwell's arrest.

Bruce Maxwell, catcher for the Oakland Athletics, was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon and disorderly conduct in Scottsdale, Arizona on Saturday after allegedly pulling a gun on a food delivery woman.

TMZ Sports obtained the police report and have revealed new details of Maxwell's arrest, including a statement from the victim who says she was making a delivery from Geno's Pizza and Cheesesteaks in Tempe when the 26-year old catcher answered the door and put a gun in her face.

Per the police report (H/T Deadspin),

"Once Lindsay arrived at the listed residence, she knocked on the screen door. Without any provocation, the door opened and Lindsay advised me she was staring straight at the barrel of a silver handgun. Lindsay stated she was in shock and simply stated “Are you Bruce?” Lindsay then stated the male subject then opened the door a little more and she was able to see that he had tattoos “all over his body.” At this time the male subject then questioned Lindsay on what he ordered from Postmates while simultaneously telling her to “not worry about the gun.”

Moments later, Lindsay stated the male subject then removed the handgun from her face and moved it to a position out of sight inside the residence. Lindsay stated she then gave the subject his food and walked away still in shock on what had just occurred. Once Lindsay was able to get back to her vehicle, she immediately dialed 911. Lindsay stated her entire interaction with the male subject lasted less than 60 seconds."

Additionally, the police report alleges that Maxwell was drunk, couldn't keep his story straight and was cursing at officers. Cops say Maxwell had 2 admitted to having two guns in his apartment along with a bunch of ammo, though he insisted he had a concealed carry permit.

The report states Maxwell "began making anti-police statements and utilized excessive profanity" and refused to comply when they attempted to put him in handcuffs.

"One cop had a rifle trained on Maxwell during the incident. Another gave Maxwell instructions while pointing a taser at him. Maxwell ultimately surrendered without any weapons being used."

"Maxwell was transported to a nearby jail, where he continued to cuss out police officers -- according to the report."

Maxwell appeared in 76 games for the Athletics this season and was the first MLB player to take a knee during the national anthem.

His preliminary hearing for assault with a deadly weapon and disorderly conduct is reportedly scheduled for November 8th.
